About Classwords
The focus of this site will be writing by students. Let's broaden that to student works or, possibly more appropriately, texts, since texts need not necessarily be written. Classwords will showcase student texts, provide a place for others, including myself, to comment on them, and allow the texts' creators to read and respond to those comments.
I realize there are already numerous sites, like TeenInk, that feature student writing. This however, is the site of a single teacher, myself, and most of the student texts will come from the classes I am teaching or have taught. Except through comments, no one will be posting to this site except myself. For the time, I am leaving comments open to all visitors to post without my pre-approval, so it is possible that some texts, student created or otherwise, will get posted there, and that might not be a bad thing.
