I liked this movie but I thought it was unrealistic. I know every little thing about the people I love and I'd expect them to see his differences right when he returned. I don't know if they were just disregarding the little things because they wanted him to be Luke, but it made the story hard to believe.

Well, i suppose that the Majestic was a good movie, while not necessarily something I would normally watch, I did enjoy it. The only thing that I found sort of off-putting was the constant predictability of the characters. It was almost to the point where you had to question whether or not you had actually seen it before.

This movie was okay. It was interesting to watch, but not a movie I would probably want to watch again. I liked it, however it just wasn't that interesting, you could pretty much tell where it was going, and what the ending would be. A little bit too predictable and unrealistic. If somebody is gone for 9 years, you would probably assume they would know where they came from, he wasn't in the war that whole time. Also, you could probably tell if it was your son or your fiance. To people who didn't know you as well, they might mistake you for the wrong person, I just think that the close people to him would have been able to tell the differance.

Well this movie really wasn't that bad and I actually really liked it. The plot was really good, it made you have to think throughout the movie and I really liked that about the movie. I just really liked the plot and the description of the movie and I think that Jim Carrey did a really good job acting throughout the movie and he was also really well educated for the part that he played. So if I was to rate the movie I would say that it was a really good movie and I really liked it.

I think that the movie was very well done. The fact that Jim Carry actually plays a roll that makes him seem normal is very rare. I thought the plot of the movie was also very good. The story line made you think about how you would react in that sort of situation if you or someone you knew lost their memory. The fact that "Peter" looked so much like "Luke" was very interesting in the fact that everybody in the town thought it was luke. To me I think that I would be able to tell if it was my long lost son, or dad, or anyother kind of family member, or even a close friend. If I had to I would watch this movie again. I think that there might be some things that we missed in just watching it once and would catch on to them more as we watched.

I thought that The Majestic was one of Jim Carry's better movies despite the fact that he was playing a more serious character. I really found the movie to be very insiteful, as well as having a good plot and story line. The one thing I did not like about the movie was that I thought the ending was very predictable and not as exciting as I would have hoped.

I thought the movie was very good. I didn't think the plot was very realistic though. I thought the acting was really good and Jim Carrey was good in a serious role. I think this movie fit very well into our unit of memory loss and I enjoyed it.

I wasn't in class the days we watched the Majestic, so I am going to comment on another movie dealing with memory. The movie I chose was 50 First Dates. I liked the movie, but I became very frustrated during the movie. It seemed to drag on, and I became bored with the idea that she had to re-live every day over again. I doubt I would have the patience with someone like Adam Sandler did in the movie. I did however, feel I could relate to the girl, and her over-protective father and brother. At times I feel I have both of those, and I don't have a memory problem. The movie is cute, but only watch it if you are obsessed with Adam Sandler, can handle Drew Barrymore, or are really bored. The movie gets kind of old after a while.

I liked the movie The Majestic. I think that Jim Carey is a really good actor. I think it had a very interesting plot, good acting, and a good setting. I think that some of the aspects were unblieveable and unrealistic, like "Luke's" entire community was so proud of him and thought he was such a great person, but it wasnt even luke in the end. If they knew him so well than why didnt they figure it out sooner. I still think that it was very interesting though. Jim Carey is one of my favorite actors, i think that he made this movie so good. He fit the part very well!

The Majestic was an OK movie. it was good in some parts and bad in others. a good part was when he was at the congressional meeting and then he walks out of it. it was also OK when they were at talking about his script and he walks out of the meeting.

I thought The Majestic was a very good example of a situation that occured due to a loss of memory. It was a very good story line, although, I thought the movie dragged on a little bit. I'm glad that Pete turned out to not be Luke because that would have been too easy. I thought that the movie was sequenced well, with reference to the memories that Pete recovered throughout his time in Lawson. Overall, I liked the movie.

I was only here the first day so I don't really know that much about the movie. I could tell that it was probably a good movie, but I didn't really like the idea. Maybe there was something at the end that explained why the people didn't realize that he wasn't the right person, or why people in his city didn't find him, but I don't know. I can't really say if that was stupid because I don't know if they addressed those things. I don't think I would ever watch the move again to see the end because it's not really my type of movie and I don't much care for Jim Carrey. I also don't really like to watch movies that advertised a lot (big production movies).

I enjoyed watching the majestic and thought that it related well to the memory unit. I thought that it did a good job showing how his memory was brought back with something so significant and how quickly it happened. In my opinion the class did a good job choosing a movie that related so well to memory. Overall I thought it was a great movie and thought that Jim Carrey did a good job playing a serious role.

Overall the movie was better, and much more deeper in plot than I expected. I thought the amnesia would be cliche, but by bringing in the red scare, this gave a reason for it outside the love part of the movie. It was also nice to see Jim Carey play a different role than the eccentric, over the top characters he usually plays. He can act very well, when playing a more serious role. The only problem I had with the movie was just the fact of the town thinking he was luke, I have had friends return from somewhere after that long, and at first sight I could tell it was them so I find it hard to believe that the town thought he was Luke.

I thought that the Majestic was a very good movie. Although it wa a bit long, I stayed interested in the plot of the story. Jim Carrey did an excellent job in acting. His character, Peter Appleton suffered from Amnesia after an accident and wound up in a small town where he was mistaken for Luke Trimball, a son of a small town lost in WWII. It was amazing how he was convinced that he was in fact Luke until his movie " Sand Pirates of the Sahara" played at the Majestic. Then he realized that he wasn't Luke and that he was a movie writer. All throughout the movie you question whether he is Luke or not. There was a possibility that he could have been him. Adel's father stated in the beginning of the movie that Luke my have come back from war and not remembering who he was, he began a new life. This seem very plausable, and kind of makes you question his true identity even though we know that he is Peter Appleton. Even though he was not Luke, the town accepts Peter as one of their own. It makes you appreciate how close small towns are and how in big city life we sometimes forget the things that are really important. All in all a great movie. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a touching story.

The majestic was a well written, well acted film. Jim Carrey plays two people in the movie, one is a screenplay writer, another is a war hero thought to have died in action. He plays both of the parts well and although the movie was most definately slow moving, it did pack some drama and some feeling in, so as not to be completely bland. I thought this film tied in with the memory unit well and I enjoyed the story. Good acting is always appreciated and although Jim Carrey fits well in comical pictures, he is able to act in a drama as well.

THe movie was very well done. It also fit well into the memory unit. It showed how he lost his memory and also how he got it back. They did a good job showing you how these two worlds could become one.

I thougt the movie was very inspireable. The plot was very different and distinguishable from other movies with simmilar plots. I thought it was very well done, very well done.

I thought that The Majestic was an okay movie, but definitely not something I would watch again. I found it rather hard to believe that noone knew that Peter wasn't Luke. How could you not know your own son when you see him? It is not very believable. And besides, if he's gone for 9 years, it is not very likely that he is ever going to return home.

I really liked the movie especially Jim Carrey's role because it was very different from what he normally does. I also really liked how the movie was set back in the 50's. I thought it was a really good movie to watch about memory and I liked in the end how Carrey told the truth and stood up for himself.

Much like what most people said, I liked this movie, it was entertaining. I did miss the first day so I'm not exactly sure how Luke came to be in the town in the first place, but I still found it a little unbelievable. I think that of all people, his own father would've known his son. Perhaps it was supposed to be unbeleivable though to show how desperate the town was to have one of their lost sons back.

Like most people said, this was a good movie, it was entertaining, but a little unbelievable. You'd think that of all people a man's own father would have known that it wasn't his son. Perhaps, it was supposed to be unbelievable to illustrate how desperate his father, fiance, and the whole town was to have one of their lost sons home again.

When i watched the movie for the first time i had thought that it was a weird thing to think that you could have no idea who you were. But the intresting thing is how do you think you would react in his place. What does the body do when it feels threatened, how he reasted to the first two police man made since, and then from there on he is defensive and doesnt know who he can trust. The concept they used for this movie truns out to be very intreging thats what makes it a good movie.
