I have reduced the size of this by more than 50% for web-display purposes. Andrew composed it as a Word document, which I have converted to a .gif file, so the color and resolution are not as good here as in the original. In the original, the borderline bills were probably about 75% of actual size.

I think this is an effective "collage", done neatly and composed with some thought about the story. You can make a good case that Lawrence wanted us to think beyond the motives and problems of the characters in the story, and Andrew's thematic interpretation seems to be in line with Lawrence's larger intent.

I'm no art critic, but this strikes me as a visually effective graphic composition, with attention both to detail and the bigger picture.

This collage clearly has direct ties to 'The Rockinghorse Winner" because of greed being very thematic in the story. I also think this collage is well put together and symbolizes our modern-day life. Money has so much power in our lives it's almost sickening. I wonder what life would be life if our day to day events weren't based on money and making money in order to survive?

I really like the picture you made. It really says alot about how society has such an enfasis on money. You can't live with out it but you can't live if thats all you care about. I really think that the picture of all the bills and dollar signs is what society mostly thinks about. However i like how you included the picture of the homeless man asking for money. You would think people who have money or people who were ever poor at one time in their life would understand what it is like to need money and would help out the man.
