Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a personality disorder marked by control, perfectionism and over concern with work at the expense of close interpersonal relationships. Symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder are preoccupation with details the activity is lost. Perfection in small details. Shuts out friendships and leisure-time when long hours of work can’t be explained.
Excessive rigidity and obstinacy
Stinginess with self and others
Tasks be completed according to ones personal preferences
A person with OCPD has to suffer from at less 4 of those
There is no one cause for OCPD but they think Genetic
Cultural influences
Occur in about 1% of the population and can be treated with psychotherapy and medications.
